RLI & LLI (RIGHT & LEFT LIFTED INCREASE)
RLI (Right Lifted Increase)
Insert Right Needle from behind through the stitch right below the first one on your Left Needle.
Lift this stitch ...
... and place it on Left Needle with right leg of the stitch toward you.
Now knit the lifted stitch.
The 'original' knit stitch is still on the Left Needle.
Finish by knitting the 'original' stitch.
LLI (Left Lifted Increase)
Insert Left Needle from behind through the stitch 2 rows below the first stitch on the Right Needle, so that the left leg of stitch faces front.
Go through the back leg of the stitch ...
... and knit it.
