Close the zipper and position it in the pocket so that all the teeth are visible and centered. Secure it in place with pins.

Thread your sewing needle by doubling your sewing thread for more stability.

Attach the yarn and insert the needle between two sts from the bottom up. Pull the thread through.

Insert the needle to the right by the desired st length and pull the thread to the back.

Now stitch twice the stitch length to the left back onto the front.

Now go back through the second last position and then double the st length to the front. Continue in this way.

Rep all of this on the other side of the zipper.
