Runar Cardigan – Junior Version (Top-Down Cardigan with visible seams)
Runar is worked flat from the top down, beginning with the two front panels, which are knitted as separate pieces and shaped at the shoulders using German Short Rows. Stitches are then picked up along the front shoulders to work the two back panels. The front panels and center back seams are joined using a visible crochet seam (no prior crochet knowledge required).
The body is completed with a folded hem, followed by a picked-up neckband to form a classic crew neckline. Stitches are also picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves. Finally, button bands are added along the front edges for a clean and polished finish.
