Button Band Gauge Swatch

Your swatch should be blocked and dry before you start.

Picking up stitches & Casting on

Pick up 1 stitch from each selvedge st of your gauge swatch & cut the yarn at the end.

The WS side is facing you. Slide the sts to the tip of the needle and begin to cast on 13 sts using the Italian Cast On method.

Rep these 2 rows until all picked up button band sts are worked.

Binding Off

After your last WS row turn your work and proceed to bind off all sts using the Italian Bind Off method.

After completing, you should wash your swatch again. Now check whether you have the same number of rows as for your main piece: 36 rows for 10 cm | 4". If this is not the case, adjust your needle size for all double knitting pieces in the instructions.
